The Subsonic, Almost Secret Communications Among Elephants
It has only been a few years since scientists discovered an amazing fact about elephants: they communicate with subsonic calls mostly lower than the human ear can hear.  Because they are so very low also means these signals can carry sometimes as far as five or six miles.  Today, a Cornell biologist discusses this phenomenon with guest host Julie Rose.—Original airdate: 8/27/2014
