The Surprising History of Siblings in Georgian England
Amy Harris from the BYU History Department is a specialist in genealogy and family history.  Her recent book mined her genealogy research for fascinating insights and discoveries about how brothers and sisters got along, inherited family wealth or debt, and shared power and property within a family.  Although women had almost no institutional or legal power in England a few hundred years ago, they actually did have surprising influence in the more informal setting of the family.—Original airdate: 8/1/2014
