Thinking Aloud
Gordy Mower on David Hume
Philosopher David Hume was born 300 years ago. (His official birthday is May 7, although a change from the "old style" calender reckoning moved his birthday from late April into May.) Hume has been described as the most significant  philosopher ever to have written in the English language. We discuss his legacy of empiricism and skepticism with philosopher Gordy Mower, in this installment of our "Great Works Monday" series on Thinking Aloud.—Original airdate: 5/2/2011
