Chocolate is one of humanity's most widespread, beloved, influential foods ever. From its roots in Central America as a rare, elite drink to its current status as a global juggernaut of the food industry, its historical importance and intrinsic appeal are a given. Today on Thinking Aloud, guest host Mark Burns talks with two chocolate specialists on the history and production of the famous food: Matt Caputo from Tony Caputo's Market amp; Deli in Salt Lake City, the epicenter of all things chocolate in Utah, andnbsp;Lisa Thompson from the Natural History Museum of Utah, the site of a much-praised exhibition on chocolate running until June 1, 2014.—Original airdate: 5/16/2014
