Jack Sites: Nature's Free Gifts--Why Nature Conservation Isn't Just about Nature
The fruits of the natural world are more than we realize--too many to tally. Humans derive innumerable "free gifts" from the natural world, but we frequently exploit nature beyond its ability to recharge itself, and in the process compromise or obliterate nature's capacity to provide us with the foods, tools, medicines, and protections that we need for our own survival. Dr. Jack Sites, a professor at BYU, is one of the world’s leading herpetologists. In this interview he provides a brief survey of some of these miraculous gifts.  —Original airdate: 4/15/2016
