How Did Meriwether Lewis Really Die? with historian Jay Buckley
Jay Buckley teaches classes in the department of history at BYU and specializes in studying Indian-white relations, the fur trade, Lewis and Clark, exploration and migration, and other western themes. He joins us in a discussion on the death of famous explorer Meriwether Lewis. Was he accidentally shot, murdered, or was his death an act of suicide? Buckley explains the reasons behind each theory. He is a contributing author to the book "By His Own Hand? The Mysterious Death of Meriwether Lewis."—Original airdate: 12/14/2006
