Great Works: Symphonie Fantastique by Berlioz
Symphonie Fantastique is a piece of program music which tells the story of "an artist gifted with a lively imagination" who has "poisoned himself with opium" in the "depths of despair" because of "hopeless love." As part of Thinking Aloud's Great Works series, we're discussing Berlioz's Symphonie Fantastique with two BYU scholars on French and Music. —Original airdate: 11/3/2008
