Thinking Aloud
The Design of the BYU Campus: A New Exhibit at the Harold B. Lee Library
Brad Westwood and Gordon Daines have collaborated together for over three years to produce a new exhibit at the Harold B. Lee Library. On display now through May 2008, in the Special Collections Area: Designing BYU: Planning, Architecture, Landscape 1875-2007. In today's discussion we explore the themes behind the exhibit: What is the importance of the physical space for learning? Who designed BYU? Who landscaped the campus? What were the ideas behind the architecture? Who were the decision makers, and what were they thinking? And how much of BYU simply evolved of its own accord, organically?—Original airdate: 10/11/2007
