Morning Classics
Bruce Seely began a long radio career while still in junior high school in his hometown of Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada. He was hired by a local AM radio station to play classical music from 6 to 9 each weekday evening on their newly established FM side. In 2015 Bruce marks his “golden anniversary” in radio. Fifty years and counting finds Bruce presenting classical music again from 6 to 9, only now it is weekday mornings as well as 6 to 11 Saturday mornings on Classical 89. Bruce worked at Classical 89 in his student days in the ‘70’s while gaining a degree in Broadcast Journalism. He sang with the BYU A Cappella Choir under Dr. Ralph Woodward. In the years since he has enjoyed raising a large and happy family while working almost exclusively in radio news in Canada and the United States. He was a member of the Calgary Opera Chorus for many years out of which was formed a costumed, strolling, caroling quartet called ""Christmas Cheer."" He is a retired member of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and now sings with the Utah Baroque Ensemble. Bruce says even after all these years, “I rarely ‘go to work’, I still enjoy what I do that much.”
